Being fit has no age restriction at RiverWoods Exeter

RiverWoods Exeter Employees and residents enjoyed a morning of community, fun and fitness this past Saturday by supporting the Exeter Elementary PTO during their 20th annual "Get Fit In May 5K"!

Residents establish scholarship for first-year nursing students

Here at RiverWoods Exeter it's important for us to not only share an enhanced quality of life with as many seniors as possible, but also to help others do the same. We're proud to help nursing students through scholarships and hands-on learning. RiverWoods Exeter residents have even established a scholarship with Great Bay Community College for first-year nursing students.

RiverWoods Exeter is pleased to annouce that this year we have awarded $8,000 in scholarship dollars to four nursing students as part of this new initiative.

Our Community is Buzzing

Our community is "buzzing" with the arrival of our newest residents.... honey bees. The bees will be a part of our RiverWoods Exeter Farm which was an innovative idea from an employee group participating in the Capstone Course- part of our RiverWoods Business Management Program which is taught by RiverWoods Exeter residents. Stay tuned for updates on this new project….

Helping students find their fit takes a team

RiverWoods Exeter is proud of everyone on our team for the work they do so passionately for residents every day! Many on our team started at Seacoast School of Technology. We love working with SST as they help guide so many students along their career paths.

This Seacoastonline.com story by Lara Bricker Author on the collaboration with SST is worth a read.

The Sweet Sound of Someone Else's Shovel

It's a familiar sentiment to be sure! A favorite sound on campus always seems to be that of someone else's shovel outside your window. A big thank you to the RiverWoods Exeter Environmental Services team hard at work cleaning off resident cars and 'snowscaping'.

Celebrating World Book Day

Whether you prefer your books with friends, reading with kids, curled up in a cozy chair, or writing your own book, RiverWoods Exeter wishes you a happy World Book Day! #WorldBookDay

Setting track on campus

With four miles of trails, Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular ways to enjoy the winter weather here on campus. RiverWoods Exeter residents Steve Swenson, Stu Howkins, Spencer Jackson and Sue Jordan decided to pack down the trails after our recent snow and were kind enough to pause for a group photo at Gooch Park.

Resident Poetry Club Rap Session

The RiverWoods Exeter Resident Poetry Club recently welcomed Ivo Nedyalkov, "Doctor of flow" (fluid mechanics PhD, rapper and faculty member at University of New Hampshire), to host a rap music workshop on campus. If Rap or poetry is not your passion, there are more than 150 different resident committees and interest groups from which to choose.

A night at the Exeter Holiday Parade

Once again the Exeter Holiday Parade was a huge success! The theme was Christmas Movies Through the Decades. The movies we chose were Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (1960s), A Year Without Santa Clause (1970s), A Christmas Story (1980s), Christmas Vacation (1990s) and Elf (2000s). Resident and staff volunteers from RiverWoods Exeter and our 2018 Gala Partner, Seacoast Family Promise, dressed up as the characters! The RiverWoods shuttle followed the float with residents cheering. We look forward to next year!
